Koster NB 4000

Koster NB 4000 fuses the properties and advantages of a polymer modified bitumen coating (PMBC) and a flexible mineral waterproofing product into one.

This two-part product changes colour from green to grey when fully cured providing a radon-proof, UV stable barrier which can be exposed to pressurised water after 24 hours.

Koster NB 4000 wide range of uses include;

• Waterproofing internally (negative side) and externally (positive side)
• Restoration of buildings with old bituminous or mineral coatings
• Waterproofing under ceramic tiles indoor and outdoor
• Horizontal barrier under masonry walls as DPC
• Polymer modified slurry

Using Koster NB 4000

When using Koster NB 4000 pour the liquid component into a mixing bucket and add the powder, continue to mix the liquid whilst powder is being added with a slow mechanical mixer. Mix for a minimum of 3 minutes until you're left with a lump-free pastelike consistency.

Ensure the substrate is sound and clean before Koster NB 4000 is applied in two coats to substrate by trowel or spray. For radon protection the dry coat thickness is 3mm, any areas prone to or there is a potential of cracking should have Koster Fibre Glass Mesh embedded in a fresh first coat.

Protect fresh coatings from rain and frost, as well as strong sunlight until coating has fully cured, Koster NB 4000 will change colour once fully cured.
