High Level Alarm for Sump Pump Systems

The AlertMaxx2 high level alarm is designed to monitor sump pump chambers and provide an immediate warning if water levels rise above normal operating limits. It offers both audible and visual alerts, helping ensure that potential pump or drainage issues are identified quickly.

The unit is typically installed alongside basement sump pump systems and can be used with both groundwater and foul water pump stations. By detecting rising water levels inside the chamber, it provides an early warning if a pump stops working, becomes overwhelmed or if drainage conditions change.

The alarm is powered by a standard mains supply and includes an internal battery backup to maintain monitoring during power outages. A built-in 100 dB sounder and clear visual indicators provide immediate on-site alerts if a high water condition occurs.

Smart monitoring and connectivity

The unit includes internal data logging and energy monitoring capabilities, helping track pump performance and system activity. When connected to Wi-Fi, the alarm can transmit system information to a remote monitoring platform, allowing pump activity and alerts to be monitored off-site.

A volt-free relay contact also allows the alarm to be connected to external alarms, warning beacons or building management systems (BMS), making it suitable for both domestic and commercial installations.

Compatible pump systems

This alarm can be used with both groundwater sump pump systems and foul water pumping stations. For basement waterproofing systems, it pairs well with packaged sump stations such as the Dual V3, Dual V4 and Dual V6 pump stations.

For wastewater installations such as basement bathrooms or extensions, it can also be installed alongside the Foul Water Pump Station to provide an additional safety alert if water levels rise unexpectedly.

Installation overview

The alarm unit is typically wall mounted near the pump chamber and connected to a float switch installed inside the sump. Installation requires a mains electrical connection and is normally completed in under an hour by a competent installer.

The system continuously monitors the water level in the sump chamber. If the water rises beyond the set point, the alarm immediately activates the audible and visual warning to alert occupants or maintenance staff.
